Berlin Film Festival

Every filmmaker has to attend at a certain point the biggest film festivals. One of them is the Berlinale, the Berlin Film Festival.

I was there in 2010 trying to put together a project with some Japanese producers during the European Film Market, which takes place at the same time that the Film Festival. It was a lot of fun but also a lot of cold weather , but the visit was worth it.

My friend Jaume Collet-Serra invited me over to his shooting of ‘Unknown’ with Liam Neeson, I even made a cameo, unexpectedly, and ended up in the movie after all. I also met Leonardo DiCaprio during the press conference of ‘Shutter Island’. What a nice guy.

Also, while attending a party at the Spanish Embassy of Berlin, I got to mingle with a lot of people of the industry, including the Oscar-winning director Alejandro Amenábar, whom I had the pleasure to meet there.
