The famous American Film Market takes place every autumn in Santa Monica, California. It is the one of the most important film markets. There are two other ones: the European Film Market, which takes place at the same time that the Berlin Film Festival, and the Marché du Film, which is also held at the same time that the Cannes Film Festival.
I have attended all of them, and there is so much work to do in order to make the trip profitable, because it´s not cheap at all, but it’s worth the effort since these are the places to close some good deals for your movies.
